I read on one of the DMC forums that you can't easily disassemble the distributor while it's on car. Challenge accepted.

The tooth sensor is larger than any existing hole in the distributor. I chose to enlarge the vac advance opening. This means that replacing the sensor, if necessary, will be fairly easy.

Mounting a flat sensor to a round distributor means making a distributor body adapter.

A flat piece is cut, drilled, aligned, and then JB welded in to place. Yeah, I need a real welder!

Now, some scrap steel is shaped around an old socket to make the 50/50 tooth.
