I started with a Megasquirt 2 unit (PCB v3). Once I started making alterations to support some of the features that I wanted, it became apparent that MS3 Extended (MS3X) would keep things much much much more simple.
Oil in the intake adapter Not shown - oil from the turbo inlet adapter. This was caused by the turbo inlet pulling oil from the PCV system. The air/oil separator in stock oil cap is totally insufficient at this level of vacuum.
Oil in the outlet
Greasy / carbony fuel injector.
Many a can of brake cleaner was needed to get these intake passages clean again.
Heavy grease on the head intake ports. Probably been there from the very start. I'm guessing it was the water/meth system that cleaned up portions of the ports. You can see how the burned-on oil was caked on for half of the port and gone on the other half.
Given enough bottles of washer fluid (and no more oil in the intake), those valves might started looking better. Before reassembly, I will use some cleaners & shop vac to get everything as clean as possible.
Wire wrap removed
Passenger side - with the throttle properly routed, the fuel rail should fit without issue!
Drivers side - Not quite so lucky. Will need to remove my internal coolant reroute and return to a stock hose setup. With the conversion to blow-through that will not a problem now.
On the bright side, the MSD system seems to be very happy with the current ignition components. Rotor looks fine.
Cap looks pretty good too.
M/E Wagner Dual Flow Adjustable PCV Valve. So very shiny.
