Sensor installed in the valley. This boss above the oil galley is about 18mm thick at this point, leaving plenty of room to drill & tap for a bolt or stud. This location was chosen based on testing data from Legend Industries.
The tooth sensor is larger than any existing hole in the distributor. I chose to enlarge the vac advance opening. This means that replacing the sensor, if necessary, will be fairly easy.
Mounting a flat sensor to a round distributor means making a distributor body adapter.
A flat piece is cut, drilled, aligned, and then JB welded in to place. Yeah, I need a real welder!
Now, some scrap steel is shaped around an old socket to make the 50/50 tooth.

Again, my favorite misused epoxy holds the tooth onto the original reluctor wheel.
